JARED D. REEDER

As a child, Jared Reeder was lauded for always coloring in the lines. Barely 5, he won his first drawing contest, in which judges could hardly believe the work came from a toddler.

As a teen, Jared was much admired by his peers for crossing the lines. Always the one to push the envelope, he became a trendsetter in all things creative, fashion and youth-driven. 

Now as an adult, it has become his life’s course to define the line. With design and branding experience in everything from invaluable art collections to feminine health products, Jared has years of success fostering the connection between businesses and their consumers. As a digital innovation leader, creative director, strategist and forward thinker, Jared guides businesses toward innovative branding solutions, progressive concepts and more.

Through empirical research and an active effort to stay immersed in today's pop culture, Jared has come to the conclusion that today’s generation doesn’t always see themselves in terms of narrowly defined demographics like race, gender and age. Instead, Jared has set out on a continuous quest to identify the values, ideas and interests that unite the world’s people.

In addition, he makes it his mission to hone an evolving understanding of how people receive their information and how they relate to their surroundings. With this philosophy in mind, Jared has assisted brands such as the Robb Report, Ernst & Young and many others with niche-driven marketing and effective innovation to increase sales and brand awareness.

Achievements include:
-      Active member of pursuit teams which attribute to US $1bn of new business
-      During Covid-19 response, introduced digital solutions that led to US $160m of new revenue 
-      Featured advisor for storytelling and innovation for internal business development group


April 2009 to present

Creative Director – ?ToPeriod, Atlanta, GA 

Responsible for brand strategy, award-winning design, video presentations and web designs; as well as meeting with new clientele and serving as lead consultant.

Achievements include:
-      Produced innovative print design and progressive interactive proposals
-      Drove the communication process and education of the agency’s rebranding; nationalized the company’s clientele  
-      Introduced knowledge-sharing tools to educate and enhance the company’s business development

Special Sections Art Director – Atlanta Magazine, Atlanta, GA

Developed, created and executed special sections and niche magazine ideas to obtain or retain advertising clients throughout the Southeast.

Achievements included:
-      Developed and designed African American Heritage Guide magazine and Golf Guide
-      
Produced award-winning special section on Savannah, GA for Tourism Bureau
-      Redesigned Georgia’s Travel Guide, coming in below budget by $8,000

    

January 2007 to May 2008

Associate Art Director – Curtco Media, Atlanta, GA
Developed and redesigned the world’s largest and oldest art magazine (Robb Report’s Art & Antiques)

Achievements included:
-      Elevating company’s overall design and perception by introducing a coffee table book appeal and quality, heavier paper stock and heightened attention to the printing process
-      Created grids, font selection, color palette and templates for new magazine look
-      Won “Best Magazine Redesign” within the MAGS Conference 2008

 

January 2006 to October 2006

Art Director – Future Publishing, Atlanta, GA 
Responsible for layout concepts, art directing photoshoots and design for magazines such as:
Women’s Health & Fitness; Men’s Edge; House DIY and Pregnancy

Achievements included:
-      Worked closely with editorial staff to make all stories comprehensive and aesthetically pleasing
-      Hired and commissioned illustrators, photographers and maintained monthly art budget
-      Created grids, font selection, color palette and templates for new magazine look
